Like Father, Like Son!

Whenever Tyler works in the yard especially mowing, Cole is fast on his feet watching every move. He pulls toys around thinking he is doing just like his daddy! It is fun to watch them together!

THE BIG GRAD!

Tyler graduated last night from the EMT program. I am so proud of him. He has been going to school every Saturday and Sunday since Jan. It has been a long semester but he made it through! He loved the program and is going to continue with the paramedic program this fall. It will be nice to have my husband back with the family.

I only have one picture because my batteries went dead. They will not hold a charge anymore. I guess I need to buy some new ones. But at least the picture is a good one.

Birthday and a cupcake Please!

We have celebrated 2 birthdays this month already! My hubs and my Dad's. We did not do anything to fancy. We had sometime with family at dinner and celebrate another day together. They are two wonderful people in my life.

To my husband!
You are a Man among men. My life would not be where it is today without you. I am who am because you were brought into my life. I thank God every morning that I get to wake up and spend another day with you. I can't image being married to anyone else. You are a wonderful husband and unbelievable father to Cole. We are so blessed to spend another year with you! We love you Tyler!

To my Dad!
Thank you for loving me everyday! I have grown up to be the woman I am because of all the amazing things you have taught me. I look up to the relationship you have with mom and hope that Cole can say the same about me one day. You have been my shoulder to cry on and my friend but most importantly you have always been my loving dad! I love you Daddy!

Now for the CAKE!
A boy in my class celebrated his birthday this week as well and his mom brought these amazing cupcakes to school. I am very eager to try them! SO here the recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 3 eggs

Directions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt; set aside. Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Add 1 egg and the vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips; mixing just enough to evenly combine. Form the dough into tablespoon-sized balls; place onto a baking sheet, and freeze until solid, about 2 hours.
  2. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 24 muffin cups with paper liners.
  3. Beat 3 eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer to break up. Add the cake mix, water, and canola oil; continue beating for 2 minutes on medium speed. Spoon into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each 2/3 full. Place a frozen cookie dough ball on the top center of each cupcake.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the cake portion of the cupcake (not the cookie dough ball) comes clean, about 20 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

Major updating

Needing some updating on the blog I know!! So life has been flying by. Cole is a little over 7 months now and is growing like a weed and a very fast weed. He ways close to 22lbs now and prob close to 28 inches tall if not taller. He is growing out of his clothes steadily. I think we go through about 3-4 outfits a day. He loves to play and talks nonstop. He is getting louder and louder too. He is already eating us out of the house so I am scared to see what is going to happen when he is a teenager. We have order him a new car seat and are waiting for it to come on in. This infant car seat has to go!

Tyler recently had surgery on his sinuses. They went in through his nose and removed tissue and cist from his sinus cheek cavities. Then they repaired these little tube like things in his. The surgery was suppose to be about an hour and the recover the same but Tyler's blood pressure sky rocketed and he could not go home until it came down. Well we finally went home about 4 hours later. The first night was a little rough but he has been doing great now. He was so happy to finally get to sleep in the bed after a week. He was not able to lift Cole either so that has been hard on everyone in the family. Cole loves playing with his Daddy! He has been off work since last Wednesday and I think he is starting to get a little antsy.

I am finally on summer break. I have been really busy ever since the last day of school. Taking care of Cole and Tyler have been a full time job but I have also been extremely crazy about organizing and cleaning everything. By the look of my house you cannot tell but if you open a cabinet you will see all my hard work. Another thing I have gotten myself into is selling books on Amazon. So easy and man you can make some money. I sold 3 books the second day I did it. I have big plans this summer of things I want to accomplish this summer. That will be another blog post.

So I guess that is all in the last month but more to come!!

Let it snow!!!

I guess you can say we had more ice than snow but we still enjoyed our time off from work. I love having days home with Cole. We did not get out of our PJs and we cuddled a lot. We did go out to take a picture but Cole was not having much of it. Cole's cousin Zadie let us borrow her monkey snow suit. It was big but kept him very warm!

Anniversary

Tyler and I have been married 2 years now. We always said we would be married 2 years and then talk about having kids. Well, we at least made it two years. HA! We have been so busy latley that it was nice to have a night out. We went to Texas de Brazil downtown and ate tons of food and then came home and watched a movie. Nothing to big but it was nice to spend time together! Not to mention I am 37 weeks pregnant at this point.
